Apple Watch

Apologies if this has been asked before! I've had a search through the forum and seen a few chats regarding Sky not covering Apple watches.

I'm really keen to get an Apple Watch for fitness purposes, would I need to get a contract with another supplier in order to operate it?

No need to applogise !

Esims which Apple watches use are not supported on Sky Mobile so you would need to go to another network for this.

Hi @mrsknight2012 some of the older generation watches don't need esims, they use your phone connection for messages etc. These work fine with sky, the newer ones that require the esim @caesarome has mentioned can't be used with full functionality on sky, I believe they can still connect to your phone and use that but the cellular features won't work.

A version of eSIM appeared pretty early though: about 3rd generation, I think. Originally they were described in the specification by the generic term 'Apple SIM' which doesn't exactly help make things clear to potential users.
