Moving TV to different wall

Hey, I have moved my TV on the a different wall from where my cables are. What is the easiest & tidiest way to move my cables across to the other side?
Would a sky engineer come out & do this for me, obviously at a cost I know?

also if I want to take the Sky Q box out of the living room & move it to the bedroom do I need to get an engineer to come & move that too?

technology isn't really my thing & little things like this gets me stressed out.

@Embo67 Yes you will most likelly need to call Sky to move your box to another room as it means rerouting or adding new satellite cable.

@Embo67Main Q boxes need the satellite lead from the dish moved Sky will do it for about £65 or get an independent installer.

Mini boxes you can move yourself

Thanks so much. I did buy extra cable to run it round the skirtings but I would rather they could move the dish/cable so it's less mess. Will try call them tomorrow & get this booked in.

@Embo67 Sky can move the cables if its an external wall but if its internal one they will pin the cable round the room.

Bear in mind the dish needs to point at the satellite. I don't imagine the dish can be moved.

I would say that, in many cases, a Sky dish could be moved and still point towards the satellite, even if its just at the other end of the same wall...

@Embo67If you want complete control of how the cable is run you would be better using an independent aerial installer (get a quote first) there is also more chance of a dish move if you want it to another suitable position. I bet the Sky installer would say the dish is in the only position it would work from. (may be true)

I am afraid my wife does not like the new position! I am sorry. The cables are still in place, so would be very grateful if an engineer could move the TV back.

@d.vevers You can't request an engineer through a public forum as we are all customers here, you will need to contact Sky as you did before to book & pay for an engineer.

They won't actually move the TV, that is up to you to do yourself.

Unfortunately this is a customer forum and not Sky so all you can do is to phone them.

They are taking calls but try to discourage people from phoning so ignore all the warnings. If you have to say anything say "technical" that usually works.

It will probably cost you £65 or get an independent installer, although other cables may be in place only two will work and they will need to be changed over in the dish.
