when watching football my sky had seems brighter and better picture than sky UHD which seems really dark. Is there a reason for this? I have a Samsung tv

UHD football now has HDR, which makes the picture even better. On a Samsung, you'll need to go to your picture settings and raise the Gamma, Dynamic Contrast and Local Dimming, adjusting to your own taste. Brightness/backlight should already be at max as that's what happens when the TV detects HDR content.
