My lovely dog has literally chewed up our sky q remote control so bad that they now do not work at all! I can't press the 7&9 buttons to unpair it from the TV so I am unable to pair the new set. Apparently you can do this manually from the box, can anyone tell me how to do this please. I have searched through the posts on here but can't see the answer. Have tried to call Sky customer services but gave up after being on hold for nearly an hour (and I am a VIP member so supposed to queue jump!) thank you

hi @Whiteford123 what TV do you have for most (if not all) TVs the remote works by infrared and doesn't pair specifically with the TV (i.e. it will work alongside any other IR control)

Does your new controller have a voice button ?

I suggest to start the pair process with your SKy box from scratch :

On the new remote press & hold 7 & 9 to reset that

Then Press & hold 1 & 3 whilst making sure it has line of sight of your SKY box

(This should pair it with the SKY Q box in bluetooth mode)

As soon as it has paired with your SKY box it should prompt to you set up with your TV

Once you have selected the make of TV I generally recommend do not enter their TV model but instead use the Find it for me option which goes through the codes known for that manufacturer using the most common first

Follow the onscreen instructions - i.e. Press the Volume up down and answer Yes if it works or No, try another if it doesn't

See also :

https://www.sky.com/help/diagnostics/sky-q-remotes/setting-up-remote

if you don't want to reset but just start at the pairing you can go to :

Main Menu - Settings - Setup - Remote Control

BTW What Make & model of TV do you have ?
