Sky Q mini box & monitor

I have Sky Q with the mini box in the kitchen, this is going to sound very basic but does the mini box have to be attached to an actual TV or could I just use a monitor, ie a computer monitor?

If using HDMI, the monitor would need to be HDCP 1.4 compliant. You'd also need to consider how audio output is going to work.
