Sky Q box overheats and freezes

Hi,

I have a Sky Q box with 2 mini sky q receivers in different rooms.

My main Sky Q box overheats several times per day and it stops working/freezes. The only solution is to plug out the box and leave it unplugged for 5 minutes then plugging in. This is extremely frustrating because it stops the other Sky q mini boxes from working..

We have followed all Sky blogs and the issue persists.

I have been trying to contact Sky customer service for months on this. I have been on WhatsApp sessions where customer service agents have stopped replying.

If this is not resolved, I'll be cancelling my direct debit next week. Please call my mobile on my account ASAP.

Afraid this is a customer forum. Making a request for Sky to call you wont be sucessdful. If followed all troubleshooting steps you need to try and get hold of Sky by phone.

@Joe111222 We are just fellow customers on this forum - this is not Sky Customer Services. We have no access to your account so nobody will be calling you.

You'll need to persist with calling Sky about this or hope that someone with higher powers than I can escalate this query to Sky who may be able to contact you via email or live chat.

They won't do that: you'll need to persist with the normal support channels. I'm surprised they haven't suggested swapping out the main Q box.

One cause of overheating can be that WiFi is struggling.

Have found this thread as my sky box is constantly doing this too so when you say wifi struggling you mean receiving it as wifi is dodgy signal or that the module in the box is failing?
