Turned on split screen by mistake

I accidentially tuned on split screen this evening and cannot work out how to turn it off. i do not have SKY Sports. I have tried pressing Dismiss once, then tried as suggested on here pressing Dismiss twice quickly,. Neither has worked. I have no idea what buttons I pressed and am quite disappointed that it seems to be so tricky to turn off this feature. Any ideas! Many thanks

That can be a TV thing, rather than a Sky thing. Have you tried using an exit button on the TV remote control? Although by now your TV and box will have been turned off for the night so I imagine it's all sorted.

@ceramicqueen Sky Q doesnt; have split screen, thats your TV, so not a Sky problem rather a user problem. A read of your TV user guide/manual will tell you all about such features and how to enable/disable them.

@ceramicqueen I'm pretty sure Sky Q does not have a split screen function, unless you mean the apps bar on the right hand side of the screen? (Accessed via the 3 dots on your Sky controller). If it is this, you just need to press the back button. If it's anything else then as advised by @Rhonny , it'll be a tv function for which you'd need to use your tv controller.
