Sky Q - Multiroom con?

So just switched over to Sky Q - seems the Sky Go App doesn't do what the old Sky+ App did in terms of managing the box? Suggestion is the Multiroom does that? But I don't need Multiroom - I've got Sky Go which plays live, accesses catch up etc TV on iPads, laptops (with decent monitors) etc. So same content on lots of screens. I can see if you need to rent a mini box for another TV but why pay £10 a month just to manage a Q from an iPad? #ripoff!

@Thondwe what exactly does the Sky go app not do that the Sky + app did do ???

Sky+ syncs the planner so you can see what you scheduled/got recorded and add/remove/reschedule/undelete resolve clashes with the iPad touch screen. Also can remote control the HD box.

@Thondwe I can see where you are coming from. As I have multiroom then I can obviously do all of that already.

Sky Q does not have a planner as such everything is held under recording including the schedule so guessing that is why you need multiroom to access this.

With the Sky Go app and the previous Sky Q app the intention is that these apps were to allow the user to view on additional screens hence the need for the multiroom subscription for accessing recordings from your main box and to access the full array of channels whilst connected to your Q box.

From memory the Sky + app was mainly an app to allow remote control over your boxes ie as you stated "Sky+ syncs the planner so you can see what you scheduled/got recorded and add/remove/reschedule/undelete and use it as a remote control" along with the ability to download catchup etc if you had the Sky go extra subscription
