&lt;P&gt;I'm not sure what will happen when your bank refuses payment, but as &lt;a href="https://helpforum.sky.com/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/2733237"&gt;@SKY1992bf&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;posted, the payment you made manually may not have been taken account of in your bill for this month, and may be sitting as a credit for &lt;EM&gt;next&lt;/EM&gt; month. If so, Sky will think payment hasn't been made for this month.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Recent contracts &lt;EM&gt;require&lt;/EM&gt; you to have a direct debit or continuous card payment set up.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;If you have a direct debit setup on your account then you should never need to make a manual payment as you have done as this will not stop the direct debit from being taken or as in this case attempted to be taken.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;The direct debit might be taken so if it is you have two choices, as your account will be in credit you can either leave it as the credit will be used to pay or part pay next months bill or you can call Sky and they will refund the credit to your bank account.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
