Upfront payments

Hi there all,

I have 12 months left with sky before contract ends and not sure if I'll renew at this point, all depends on price increase etc. I'm thinking of making a one off payment for the remainder of my contract now so I don't have to worry about payments throughout the year. If I did this would sky still proceed to take money from my bank account?

If you make a payment and it is enough to cover the last 12 months of the contract then each bill during the 12 months will be paid by the credit on the account. There might be a month after you make the payment that you will actually pay due to when the bill is created and you making the payment but apart from that the credit will be used to pay the bills,

@Leah128 I've posted this a couple of times today.... your contract doesn't end, your discounted offers end. You don't 'renew' as such, you negotiate a new discounted deal which will involve a new minimum term. There is likely to be the annual price increase in April.

@Daniel0210 @Hi there thank you for your message, I'm a little confused 🤔 so I have a 18 month contract that ends in October so I'm not sure what you mean?

I'm under the impression that if you get in touch 30 days before your contract ends then it won't be renewed, am I wrong then?

It is 31 days but you are correct you give notice and your contract with Sky will end and you can then leave and go elsewhere.
