My order says it’s been delivered but it’s not here

Hi my order says it's been delivered but I have got home and it's not here. It's my sons birthday present and his birthday is the 2nd of august! I've checked with my neibours it's not with them it says it was delivered with a picture of it on my front door step? But when I arrived home it's not here I've signed a contact for a long time to pay for this order! And it's my sons main present please can you help me

What it your front door on the picture and if was then was your front door open ?

Yes it was my front door in the picture and no it wasn't open I was at work and no one was home.

@Leahfol123 It's unusual that they would just leave it unattended, however if they have then it is likely it's been stolen.

Anything valuable should have an instruction on the despatch paperwork that the courier must not leave it like that.

If nobody was at home and IF the courier left against your front door then it might have been stolen so I would get in touch with DPD via their website to see what they say. Let them know that the picture taken shows your door as being closed at the time they turned up and that there was nobody at home to receive it.

It's a iPad so it's pretty expensive and on my email it said it needed photo I'd and a signature but no dpd left it on my doorstep apparnelty

I've been on the photo to sky they reckon that the dpd man put it as delivered and took the picture then realised no one was in and put it back in his van to be redelivered? I hope this is the case

That could be the case @Leahfol123 but I would still contact DPD to see what they say.
