I don’t like sky glass.

I've recently switched to sky glass and I really don't like it. It's just not as good as sky q.
The playlist is the most annoying part for me....why can't I just delete from the play now rail? It's put programmes in that I don't even want to watch and I can't get rid of them. I've even tried fast forwarding through them and they just won't go. And let's face it you shouldn't need to fast forward things just to get them off the playlist. I'm aware that sky say there's enough space and no need to delete but it's irritating having things that you have no itention of watching just sitting there. Also I'm paying for this so why can't I decide for myself what's in the playlist and what's not? The other thing is when I fast forward it's not smooth to where you want it to go and if you only fast forward a small amount it actually goes back past where you wanted so is more like rewind? The motion sensor rarely works, as doesn't the voice recognition...... I've had it over a week and have to keep resetting to get the voice activation to work. The picture isn't that wonderful either if you watch something that has a lot of darkness or black on screen it's just blurry and almost unwatchable. Navigating the home page is all a bit of pain as well....it's just not as easy as sky q.
Maybe I had overrated expectations of sky glass but for the money it really isn't worth it and if I knew before what I know now I definitely wouldn't of switched. Watching tv shouldn't be this irritating.

It's clear from the forum that Sky Glass doesn't suit everyone. Fortunately you have 31 days to change your mind and revert to Sky Q if you wish.

@Mcvv71 It's a streaming service aggregator. It can't be compared to Sky Q which is a different beast altogether. Play Now is not the same as the Playlist. Things can easily be added and removed from tbe Play List. Play Now is just recommendations. I ignore it most of the time. As Mark said if it doesn't suit return it.

@Mcvv71 Problem is no one should compare it to sky q as is different not an improvement. I was lucky enough to try it out at the local shopping centre and decided to go for it. It works for me and quite a few others. I do understand that some have had major issues . Good thing is if you cannot get used to it you can return within 31 days.

That's exactly why distance selling regulations for goods and services give a statutory right to cancel as noted above. There have been multiple posts here by subscribers choosing to revert to Sky Q.

Glass takes some getting used to like all new things and things have improved since I've had it.
I also thought that Glass was going to be better than Q or at least an equivalent as it was the latest thing from Sky.
I understand how it works but can't understand how things like the Home Screen /removing watched programmes / order in playlist etc seems so unorganised and busy.
That side of it could have been like how Q is presented. Can be irritating.

Feel exactly the same ours is going back we put the darts world championships on the play list because we are working when it's on and the program stops before the end on most of them and that's only one of our issues but luckily you have 31 days to change your mind so back to sky q for us 👎

I agree that maybe expectations were high so glass was expected to be better than Q.

I felt the same and have had similar issues to what you've experienced especially when it was settling in. I did need to switch off at mains a couple of times so it booted up again.
There has been and I'm sure there shall be more updates to make it a lot better.
I feel that maybe it was rolled out too early and maybe there should have been customers using it to iron out the issues that we are all

experiencing.
I too was pondering whether I could ride the storm updates and see how it goes or switch back to Q.
My logic tells me it can only get better. That this forum and direct feedback is giving Sky the chance to improve.
Like all new things there are always bumps in the road. Also eventually Q shall fade away like the other previous boxes have.
When you've been used to Q working well. Having access easily and being able to

manage it almost seamlessly - it's hard to see why Glass isn't same or better. But as so many on here say it is more streaming now. I still can't see why simple things likes the Home Screen and forward and rewind fail to please.

I've been optimistic about SKY Glass. I have SKY Q and now I think I'll definitely be sticking with SKY Q.

Sky Glass is more ideal for people who do not want a dish and have good internet. If you want to keep recordings, make recordings and do not have the best internet, stick to Q.
