can the sky glass remote operate a sky q box

Hi, i have just canceled my Sky Glass as i didn't get on with it and gone back to Sky Q. I have kept the sky glass tv and want to know if it is possible to programme the sky glass remote to operate my sky q box to save having 2 remotes?

Hi @seanred, as far as I am aware yes it will work with Sky Q but the Sky Glass remote doesn't have some of the buttons you would need for Sky Q like the option to record etc. Hope this helps 🙂

I'm in exactly the same position. Sky Glass tv but back to Sky Q, due to slow broadband area. I use the Sky Q remote but can't adjust volume with it. Can I set it to be able to do that , therefore discarding Glass remote. ? Thanks

@Stevejf67 I think you will find you will need both remotes each linked as the Q remote wont control the volume of the TV and the Tv remote lacks the Q's record button etc. Sky never designed the Glass to work with Q. In infrared mode the two remotes clash as they both use the same codes.

Thanks. That's where I am. I use glass remote solely for volume. I might reconnect the soundbox and try that. I keep going to adjust volume but pick up Q and channel change inadvertently!! Bah
