Broad Band speeds

Hi Everyone,

I am beyond frustrated - I have been using Speed checkers as my internet is slow to load pages and react to logins but the uploads that normally take me about 20minute to 60 minutes depending on the size are now taking a staggering 14 hours to upload, and yes I have been told I should get between 1.1-1.9MBPS that for sure is not happening. I have called sky since last September and it would appear from their end they are seeing downloads 30-33MBPS, never seen that in my home! and uploads of 2.75 - this has never happened!

so I turn off all the wifi and the download speed did, in fact, improve slightly but the upload speed is still an appalling 0.45MBPS I guess it is an improvement.

My question is this if this is what is being received into my house, where is it going? to cos I sure as hell ain't getting it! and Sky won't do anything about it!

It would also appear that the support team I was under no longer exists as I have been unable to get through to them either.. I would love some help but I really don't understand how this works I just wan to upload videos..

@misty+forest How are you running these tests and on what devices and how are they connected?

The speeds that Sky give/check are for your line speed, so if all these readings are over WiFi connected devices, and your line speed is what Sky say it should be (this is what the router stats the others have asked for show), then there isn't really a lot Sky are obliged to help with, they do no gaurantee a speed over WiFi.
