I have been a Sky Fibre user for 3+ years but recently the router has started randomly loosing signal. It can be a few seconds or quite a few minutes. The speed seems good but when you are trying to communicate & the internet switches off can be a little trying!!!!!

What other 3rd party routers work with Sky Q and Fibre broadband as I have been told that Sky's own router is all that will work with my setup!

Advice would be gratefully accepted.

Thanks

Robin

Your stats dont suggest a drop for 64 hours so it is probably a WiFi signal issue. Have you tried changing the WiFi channel or any other WiFi mitigation steps from this guide

For the PC I use Homebase connectors. I gave up on the Wifi ages ago! The internet just stops even with 3 green light on the homebase blocks. The webpage just says I am in Offline mode & to use connection troubleshooter to try & fix the problem. 90% of the time it cant find a fault & I just have to wait until it recovers. Lately though switching on the router downstairs doesnt even recover the connection.

A mate gave me another Sky Q router to try and although I had one failure last night all seems well for now! A day or two to check it out will show more details of the issue.

Thanks

Robin
