    <description>&lt;P&gt;Yes they do, i would quite happily use my own router. However i was sold Sky Boost under the impression that it is supposed to ensure i have a reliable connection in every room (minimum of 3mb), based on the fact everything on wifi doesnt work during these 30 second drop outs i would say that commitment isnt being met and either need boost cancelled as it has no use with my own router should i buy one or the connection isnt reliable.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;When i say nothing works things like skype, whatsapp all drop all at the exact same time for around 30-40 seconds.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Also i would like to point out that Fortnite is a highly popular game used by millions, these do not have ethernet ports and i can quite safely say that sky will have customers where multiple kids are playing fortnite simultaniously via wifi on a switch without issue otherwise the forum would be inundated with parents moaning becuase there kids are. I am not unique in our usage.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I came to the forum to ask for suggestions and advice of anything i can try to improve the situation, so whilst telling me to connect everything via ethernet which would resolve my issue its just not possible and also telling me i dont have an argument is unhelpful as i am not trying to argue anything really other than to get some support and advice to and settings i could change etc... unless your suggesting i take my complaint up with nintendo for making portable gaming devices that cant ve wired as wireless connections via a sky router are not prooving to be reliable?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I seem to be having intermittent issues with my wifi usually in the evening. Things like Netflix will suddenly not connect or Fortnite and whats app will drop out for 30 seconds or so. I have tried restarting the router and the router is in the open. This will keep happening however and is starting to frustrate me and my family.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Anyone got any suggestions of something i could try? I have Sky superfast (150mb - the check shows 145mb)&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi thanks,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The changes suggested in the chat seemed to work for a short time but as soon as we had switch playing fortnite, xbox playing rocket keague and a tv streaming netflix the connection deteriorated very quickly.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Wd started to see large ping spikes of between 50-100ms. The router is in the same room qith nothing blocking line of aight to thw xbox and the switch was being playes within a meter of the router but both struggled.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Being on 500mb broadband should mean we have plenty of bandwidth for this.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Its because your using WiFi. You could have a 1million download speed package and still experience the same issues. WiFi isnt magic and has its limitations. If you want to make the most of your package, especially while gaming you need to the connect devices via ethernet.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I appreciate that wifi has its issues especially with gaming. We do wire where we can although the switches do not have either.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Having had the exact same setup with Virgin Media we never saw ping go above 40-45 and we was on 200mb. So something is deffinatly not right with either the broadband or the router is worse than Virgins which is hard to believe as the super hub 3 is awful.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Different routers have different performance and conditons could have changed drastically since you were with Virgin.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Unless you can show a high ping &amp;amp; packet loss on a device connected directly via ethernet to the router then you dont really have an argument.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

They are currently sending me a new router due to a possible hardware issue and a booster just in case.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Speed tests around the house were patchy and fluctuated allot even when in the same room. Will see what happens once both bits of kit turns up.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Just as an update and in case it helps anyone. The issue seems to be with the SKY Q boxes as it creates some form of mesh network. When i turn off the main SKY Q box everything connects fine without issue.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So the only solutions i can think of is i need to hard wire the Q boxes and remove the wifi network from them to break the mesh. Or is there a way to just stop them from acting as access points as would rather wifi between the main box and the mini box.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
