Hi, I have just subscribed (Dec2020) to Sky Broadband and have been trying to find a link to "download McAfee antivirus" but to no avail. How do I find the link on my Sky Account. Thanks. SM

McAfee hasn't been available from Sky for some time: if you were sold an internet product on the understanding that it's included, unfortunately that wasn't correct information.

So, why doesn't Sky issue a statement clearly stating that "McAfee will no longer be available with Sky BB", this will put all the user out of any doubt.?????

Got a bit busy, anyway - there was no mention or advert of McAfee when I placed the order by phone. Also the online offers did not mention anything about McAfee.

@rasiklal that is re-assuring as Sky have not been able to offer McFee since late 2019!

You are not missing much to be honest as there are many other security suites available for less than you would pay Sky for McFee that offer better security. A few are compared here.

I just noticed I'm being charged £3 monthly for McAfee Internet Suite which I don't need. I noticed on another post that McAfee hasn't been available with Sky products for quite some time. How do I stop this and claim any previous payments back.

McAfee billed through Sky still functions and updates: it's new downloads and installations which aren't available. As such, it's probably not possible to claim a refund: typically to cancel anything from Sky you need to phone up.

Thanks, mate. This is a rip off, I've likely been paying this extra £3 a month for goodness knows how many years though I've never used McAfee at all. I urge everyone to check if they're being charged for this, it's shown on your bill.

I was aware for some time now the you can no longer download McAfee from Sky but they give no explaination of why on their site. Plus as a Sky customer for years I have already got it install but noticed now it say there's a problem with Rea-time scanning and the app shows it as not registered so, other than the firewall, it appears to be not working at all. I called Sky and they said it's not longer supported so I told them that I have never seen a communication from them to say that. Appauling customer services from Sky who appear to be lying to their customers by still showing McAfee on their website like it is something that should be available. Why don't they just own-up and remove it from the website and tell existing users with the app installed that they're no longer protected.

That is the key question that only Sky can answer but as they will not this is what we are left with. If you are having issues with it then it is worth finding an alternative and use that.

Sky charge me £3 per month on my bill for a McAfee Security Suite that I don't have. Surely that's illegal.

If you have it on a device and it works then they'll presumably still charge .if its expired or you need to install a new device then you'll need to contact sky and see if you can get a refund and go to mcafee directly or seek an alternative

Hi, whilst there is a £3 charge for mcafee I also receive a £3 credit off my bill so its still free.
