Hi. I have a dead phone line but still have access to WiFi albeit at a reduced 28mb/s. Is this likely to be a fault at the exchange hub.? Engineer is booked to visit 06.11 but find it odd wifi has not dropped out. Its just the phone.

It has the effect of stopping the phone from working and the broadband running at around half its normal speed.

VDSL, unlike the phone, can operate on just a single wire.
