I've just purchased sky glass L and proceeded to hang it on the wall with the supplied bracket. For some reason it doesn't seem to be very secure onto the bracket and Is a bit wobbly. (bracket is solid) it is also jutting out at the bottom. Any tips and tricks or advice would be 👍

Mines was like that because the tv wasn't pushed down into the bracket properly.
did you use the spacers? I didn't as wanted it flush to wall but had to put a few washers behind bracket to allow me to push down tv into bracket properly.

I had this issue when I first hung mine. I had put the spacers round the wrong way. The fatter and flatter side should be facing the wall and the side of the spacer that sticks out a bit should be touching the mount side. Push them up slightly as you tighten the bolts. The problem is the vesa mounting threads on the back of the tv don't clear the holes on the back of the sky glass mount properly if you have the spacers the wrong way round. Once the tv is on the bracket just give it a wiggle from the centre at the bottom and it should just slip into place.

The plastic spacers/grommets supplies are just used to keep the tv from being too close to the wall. They are not used for when someone chooses to use their own vesa mount. They are only used to wall mount the tv when using the sky glass mount provide. As previously mentioned, if they are used incorrectly like I did, then that can maybe cause what happened in my situation.

Customers may need to use the provided spacers or someting else to get mount you want as walls vary. These sets are indeed quite heavy and can literally kil if they come off the wall. They should be firmaly mounted any movement means they are not properly fitted.

Sky's recommendation on using a professional to wall mount is good certainly dont take the random advice off a self appointed expert on the internet.

I have bought msny TVs and had several walll mounted and the pros who did the work for me used spacers to get right fitment so I don't recognise the advice from @rednax82 who must have been frightened as a baby by a Sky box. The term VESA. Refers to the positioning and thread pattern ofvthe mounting points on the TV chassis.

I found the best instructions are on the wall template itself. I don't think the "Flyer" instructions even mention spacers. There are 2 sets of spacers and the instructions are not clear on differentiating them.

If you had it on a stand first, you must remove the white spacers which are over the VESA threads (they will be tight - I had to use long nose pliers). If you do not remove the white spacers (especially the top ones) then they get in the way when hanging.

Then you must use the black spacers between the bracket and the wall.

Below are some pics I took as I did my install:

Evening, could anyone help with the mounting of the L Sky Glass please! We have a socket behind the TV and have read that the socket needs to be recessed, obviously due to the bracket being so close to the wall! Would you suggest anything so we wouldn't need to do that? Thanks

Thanks

If the socket is surface mounted then you would need to use a 3rd party bracket (note, the Glass TV is heavy) that would give you the necessary spacing. Otherwise you could remove the socket if it stands proud and make safe, then the TV would need to use another socket or extension. If it's a flush mounted socket then the same re. an extension.

Edit: the wall mount it comes with has almost no spacing behind it.
