No documentary section on EPG

I have no 'Documentaries' section on the Sky Glass EPG.

The channels are available to view if I enter the channel number or ask for it through voice, but as the channels are not on the EPG, I cannot see programmes are showing.

Spoke to Sky Help over Twitter messages and was told I would be contacted by someone from the 'tech team'.

Waited over a week and no call back so went back onto Twitter message.

Was sacked off and told that it was a 'known issue', 'affecting multiple subscribers' and was 'being looked into'.

Is anybody else having the same issue? I'm looking for some comfort that it's not just me!

There has never been a documentary section in EPG. They may add one ecentually

Interesting - so not sure then how am I supposed to see what is on the documetary channels?

I have just arrived from SkyQ where there was such a section so was confused as to why it would no longer be on Glass.

I must admit, the whole product doesn't seem very well thought through 😞

My excitement is waning as each day passes...

As others have posted never been one on Sky Glass. I think it only exists on Q because it is a hangover from when documentaries had their own section in the epg.

Sky have said publicly in the past that the documentary channels have been absorbed into the entertainment category due to the shift in the programming those channels show.

Faviourtes may help you out with this?

Thanks, I'll try favourites and see if that works.

It's not the actual 'Documentaries' section that I a fussed about, it's more the fact the 'documentary channels' (Discovery / Animal Planet / Nat Geo Wild etc...) are not even shown in the 'All Channels' EPG...

@Jonny-Davies @Have you tried voice searching 'documentaries' into the remote.

It's just a thought I haven't tried it myself.

@Jayboy1990 Yes, have tried. It just takes me to the 'Sky Documentaries' section rather than the Discovery / Animal Planet etc...

It's strange, Animal Plant is channel 140 (it works if I use voice actvate or key 140 into the remote) - however the EPG numbers jump from 139 to 149.

It's just not showing those select channels for some reason.

Been through the helpdesk and they checked if I was on the correct version etc which I am, they they said that it was a known issue... will justhave to sit tight and hope that it is corrected by a future update roll-out.

That's odd. I tried to access some channels which has been removed in the way you described but they are not available to me that way. I wonder how you got that to work. As

As happy as I am with glass, I feel it's a little harsh to remove these channels without even a small reduction in price for the privilege of losing all those channels. I feel a bit ripped off 😢
