Puck Remote changes volume but doesn’t turn tv on or off

I have programmed my puck remote control with correct model number and it will change volume on tv but not turn tv on or off!

Not sure if yours will be the same,but on my TV I have to hold the button longer to turn on and off the TV,and one short press to turn puck on,takes a little bit to get used to,hopefully your TV is the same,mine is a Sony?

Hi @RM66, as l 3g3nd has rightly said, normally to turn the TV off using the remote you press and hold where as to switch the TV to standby you just need to press and release. Please let us know if you need any further assistance.

I have been the same set up on 3 TV puck boxes today all tv controls only do volume not power off even when you hold the power button. I have 2 LG models and latest Samsung all were working fine with the Sky Q system now volume only.

I can tell alexa to turn it all off but prefer the remote to do what it says on the tin!

I did wonder if I need to explore the other remote codes as I allowed the first one that worked the volume to be set at the start.

Also has anyone else had a puck box fail to move past the white way logo the restart every couple of minutes in an infinite loop? Sky are sending a new box out.
