Just why what has happened

Had the same issues as some of the others yesterday where 12 of our recordings have gone back to s1 ep1. I have watched Clarice, Seal Team and The Rookie tonight and they have gone back in the play now bar, also we watched The bay straight off its Hub and that is also in the play now bar S1 ep1. Tried.to forward wind through all episodes of Clarice, and some of the others and they just won't go. Yesterday we even got a Nigel Slater episode in the play now bar from BBC iplayer, and I have never even watched anything of his. What is going on. Maybe the play now bar should be deleted until it works properly or a delete button because it is causing to many causing to many issues and not fit for purpose. Rant over.

I feel your pain. The Playlist, play now bar was kinda working as it should, bearable in any case, after a really bad start. However, like you, it seems to have reverted to who knows what?

Sky really need to be putting ALL their effort into sorting it out as it's damned frustrating!

Aside from technical limitations, the only issue I really have is with this dreaded playlist!

@Jayboy1990 It is getting worse to the point I'm rewatching Your Honor, every day it loses which episode I got to and have to do detective work to figure out where I am, so annoying!

Not sure what happened but my Play Now rail is behaving properly but my boxes are running firmware 4.07 and 4.08 so perhaps it is linked tomthecearlier firmware?

I have issues with the Play now rail, and was wondering if a pending software update has fixed this? My current Firmware is QS003.08.OP

@MichaeWlG Sky have started rolling out new firmware which my pucksxand Glass TV are running. Only a relatively small number have got that as yet most TVs are running still firmware QS002.08 and pucks QS003.05.

I was wondering if the issue might be only affecting units running the older firmware not the latest release which id QS004.07 for pucks and QA004.008 for the TVs.

Thanks @Chrisee I figured that out soon after I posted.

My issues with the Glass system are well documented in the threads of this Discussion:-

Unable to remove item from playlist

More specifically this:-

I don't have issues with the Glass Playlist by the way, it's their Play Now Rail I have issues with, as it leaves remnants of programs in there that cannot be removed...all I want is an option to simply remove them......

Many users are asking for this, and if Sky cannot provide a simple Delete or Remove option for the Glass Play NOW Rail, it may well be its undoing. They also need to STOP adding programs to the user's Playlist based on previous viewing habits.

@MichaeWlG I dont work for Sky of course and have no influence on the way the system develops. I can sympathise with you but have you watched this video on the Play Now rail here? it helped me understand the concept better. My post was about the new issue people raised with reversion to episode one etc.

I struggle at times to understand what Sky are aiming at myself..

Yes I understand how the Playlist and Play Now functions work @Chrisee its the inability to REMOVE programs from the Play NOW Rail that annoys me, plus many others.

I have been on QS004 since last week and the same day the update hit was the day people started reporting as well as myself the play now issue, it's bloody annoying. It's totally an independent issue to the software version.

@Jayboy1990 I agree,whats really annoying me is the fact all sky have to do is say "we are aware of an issue with play now and are working on a fix" but then again they will probably have a shed load of fixes to do lol
