Bought rental but not able to view on tv only mobile which is no goid to me

Had a free purchase to rent or buy from British Gas. Chose to rent new Angel Dowm. Tried to view through Sky Store on TV but not there.

If you rented the device on a device other than your TV then you can only watch it on that device as it can not be sent to your TV in the way that a Buy and Keep film can.

Thanks. Contacted Sky. They cancelled the rental and I opted for but to keep. Cost me an extra £1. Happy days.

Was it through Sky Store @lindylou1 How did you purchase it? Online or on the box? Did you get a voucher code to use on Sky Store? Just trying to get some further info to try understand where to expect this free film to show up.

From memory @Lisa-P1987

There were two of these that I've seen over the last 3/4 years with British Gas. The first one was about £13.99. I think I did a buy and keep with that one

Then there was another smaller one around 12 months ago - maybe £5.99. They are part of the British Gas rewards scheme.

They were open to non Sky TV customers so must have been to use on the app or online.

I'm sure we just got a code to enter and the credit appeared on my online account

That is correct, for The British Gas Sky Store offer a voucher code would be sent which would then need to be added to the online Sky Store account.

Great to know @caesarome @mike+simmonds Would it then be possible to send to box for these films or was it online view only, do you know? Just so I know if this is something that will come up on forums.

Send to box definitely worked for my buy to keep but not of course the rental

I think I used mine for La La Land (don't laugh 😂)

What was your opinion of La La Land @mike+simmonds ? I can't promise I did not laugh though.

I watched it because of all the hype and I love musicals but I did not think it was worth all that noise at all!

One thing I liked @Lisa-P1987 - and I don't know if this is a true story. The opening 5 minute scene on the freeway with all the cars in a traffic jam - was filmed in one shot with no edits

A bit like what they did with 1917

Quite impressive I thought

Not seen 1917 yet @mike+simmonds but heard rave reviews. I LOVE war films so not sure why I haven't downloaded it yet.

Didn't know that about the freeway scene, interesting factoid to keep in mind if I do decide to watch it again.

As long as the purchase is a Buy and Keep film then it can be sent to the Sky box, I have never heard of an online only film ?
