You can:

Upgrade to Sky Q
Purchase a secondhand sky+ box
Have your broken box replaced by sky for a refurbished sky+ box

If it's faulty, Sky will probably be able to replace it with a refurbished box for their usual callout fee, or you could obtain a used box from the likes of Ebay. Sky+HD boxes haven't been manufactured for a while now, so you're unlikely to find a new one. Sky no longer market Sky+HD. Upgrading to Sky Q might be an option for you.

Sky would install Sky Q for you, as it involves updating the LNB (where the cables connect to the dish) as well as a new box.

They can't help.via the forum, I'm afraid, but they'll bee happy to do so if you give them a call.

Do you have a number I can reach them on because I tried calling them but was told by an answer machine that they're not picking calls due to Covid.

You can find the number to call via the 'need more help' dropdown at the bottom of this page: https://www.sky.com/help/home

Disregard the messages asking you to hang up if you're not 'vulnerable' etc. Sky are taking calls from any customer.
