Sky Go on PS5?

Morning,

Is there any plans for a new Sky Go app on the PS5 similar to that on the PS4 or will the PS4 sky go app be backwards compatable with the PS5?

It would be amazing if Sky Go on PS5 (&PS4 maybe) could support 4K HDR content!

That would be foward compatibility...

There's no indication Sky Go will support UHD on any platform.

Hi there,

I use the Sky TV app on my PS4 at home, but will be replacing it soon with the new PS5. I was just wondering if the app will be available for the new console or will it be launched at a later date?

Any help is appreciated, as this is mainly used by family members at home.

It'll be the same as we have across the other devices, so no UHD for the time being.

How do you download the sky app onto the ps5.

I can only see NOW app

well that's where you are wrong.

There is no Sky app avaialble on the PS5 on launch day (today)

BT SPORT have beat you to it though so at least we can watch the CL footy

Found it.

go to the psn store.

top is media. Then search sky.

you can then download it

Go to PlayStation Store

then

triangle or click search icon

then go to the media tab

then search 'sky'

you can then download it

Looks like it's the native app. With some type of upscaler applied. Mines a lot fuzzer compared to ps4

Hi @Madfunkychickens, TV from Sky is on the PlayStation store, you can search Sky under the Media section and it's the first option😊

Rubbish...the sky app is on the PS5...currently using it and it was there the minute I switched the console on for the first time

I have a ps5 and sky go isn't on there not happy with this as i work away a lot and normally watch sky go through the app on playstation.all you have is now TV which I believe you will have to pay for.

Got a PS5 on the way and nust wondering what's the quality like? Someone in the thread said fuzzer, is that fuzzier or a spellcheck error for better. I'm hoping better, the PS4 app doesn't look great.
