      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've just signed up to the forum specifically because this issue has me stumped. I usually have a quite solid 150-200 mbps connection, but tonight around 10pm it just absolutely plumetted; I was watching Netflix for example and all of a sudden it switched to VHS mode and kept buffering.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;The thing is, both the Sky website speedtest AND the statistics page for my router say I currently have &lt;STRONG&gt;159mbps&lt;/STRONG&gt; download speed; yet all other independent speedtest applications, such as Ookla, say I'm at &lt;STRONG&gt;35mbps&lt;/STRONG&gt;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Before anyone asks - yes I have run these tests on ethernet AND wifi. Really wondering what this is as I've no idea and I need a fast connection as both me and my partner work from home full time.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

This was very sudden, by the way! Kicked in last night and it's still at 35mbps this morning.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;Last thing I can suggest is that you switch the router off for 20mins. This will fetch a new public IP and hopefully return your speed. It seems to be the solution to quite a few people on here lately.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello all!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;First of all thank you so much for the help.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Second, after trying to reset the router IP, doing a full network settings reset and a bunch of other workarounds, I decided to call Sky support and tell them what was going on. Turns out it was a much simpler solution - my router simply gave out. I guess it reached the end of its lifespan. What was happening was that while the router was receiving a high speed connection, it simply wasn't able to output it anymore.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have received a new router now and wouldn't you know - connection is working perfectly at 150mbps.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If anyone has a similar probem, where every line test shows your speed as perfectly fine but none of your devices are receiving that speed, I encourage you to just push for a replacement router.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
