5G Wi-Fi

im using 5G Wi-Fi and my Sky Q box generated a separate Wi-Fi network (I think just for the purpose of the Sky Q main box to connect to mini boxes).

my 5G router is too far away from one of the rooms in the house but I have a mini box in this room.

is it possible to connect to the Sky Q generated Wi-Fi network

@dermotjames Yeah you can enable it in the settings of the main Sky Q box

Thanks but I've checked everywhere on the settings. There is no turn on hotspots option

The hotspot function for non-Sky Broadband users only arrived in the most recent firmware release, so that suggests your Mini box needs an update.

I have a 32B0 2TB box that hasn't updated to Q170 yet like the other versions of boxes. Do you know if there is any plan to update these boxes soon

mine is still on Q160 and won't update even though I tried updating

I have one of those as well: it updated in the initial batch and then got rolled back, so presumably there's an issue between hardware and software that Sky identified and are investigating.
