My Router keeps dropping the internet connection daily and most days i can be upto 6 - 8 times a day, this Sunday it dropped about 30 times. We did have this issue before and was told a new hub was being sent. Recieved the new Hub ( the new fancy stand up one), worked fine for a week.

The middle light of the three on the router turns off then goes amber, followed by it going back to green, as said before i have been through all of sky's checks and still dont have a reliable connection, i pay as others do for a consistent connection, not a connection that is off and on.

Had BT engineer who has re-terminated both ends of the copper connection between the Demarc and BT box, which was replaced with a new fancy BT box.
all good at this point, new terminations, new Hub, told i needed a new contract and i get a week out of it.
phone back and was told to reset the whole router to factory settings, once this was done i was talking to said engineer on my mobile and the interweb goes off 4 times in that 12 minute conversation. Then to be told i have too many devices connected, we have about 15 to 18 devices, most are mobiles and security cameras which have never caused issues before. But wait for it, when he made me reset to factory, only my PC was allowed to connect (1 device) which is hard wired, the rest is WiFi, they coukd not get on as they were reset to previous settings and that is when it went off 4 times in 12 minutes. Took PC offline and allowed the house devices back and it is on and off again between 30 minutes to 1 hour intervals.

I think i will be terminating my contract after 22+ years with sky and try my luck with Virgin with 200Mbps and still sky programmes. What say you?
i now know it is not too many devices, it is not the Hub, it is not BT, so who is it then???
