Port forwarding not working for port 32400

Hi all I have tried to used SKY guide to open Port 32400 (TCP) but i am struggling.

I am trying to get remote access to work on plex but i keep getting an error

Not available outside your network

can someone plz help i dont know what to try next.

The direction of the open port is wrong, eg: you have used outgoing when it should be an incoming port for Plex. This is for a Plex server on your network.

If you are trying to access a Plex server on a remote site then nothing needs to be done, eg: it's the other end that needs port forwarding to its internal Plex server.

not sure if I made this clear my plex server can not get ab outside connection. I am not connecting to a different computer but tables running the plex app.

Sometimes I get a connection on my plex server then everything works.

When I look at the incoming port forwarding it is outside the subnet of the Sky Hub unless you have changed the subnet of the router? The best way forward would do a factory reset of the Sky router, and then try rebooting the Plex server after that is done. Plex works perfectly with UPnP which is turned on by default on the Sky router.

I have done a factory reset but remote access keeps randomly disconnecting.

If i refresh it works for a little while (minutes) then disconnects again.

@imy137 Can you confirm on what device you are running the plex server? & that it's running the latest update (1.24.049.30)
Sometimes stock app's are way behind the current build & do produce some weird results.

The plex server is running on my main pc with an intel 9600k 16gb ram wondows 10 and plex is upto date with verson Version 1.24.0.4930.

As long as remote accesses is working on the server all my devises work. these mainly include tables and mobiles using plex app.

@imy137 I don't run plex outside of my lan, but I've just enabled a test server & that also fails on remote access, so there is something amiss somewhere.

I'll troubleshoot later when I'm back home.

I'm on a MacBook Air and cannot get anything but accessible outside my network. But you should manually set the port number to 32400 as below in the Plex server:-

@imy137 & @mae-3 I've not seen anything flagged on the plex form. but

1.24.0.4930 I couldn't enable remote access.

Rollback to 1.23.5.4841 Remote access granted

Reinstalled 1.24.0.4930 & I still have remote access.

Kill & Restart plex on 1.24.0.4930 & No external access again.

This was tested on my nas & not a windows machine.

But it dose look like it's a plex issue again.

It looks like you may have hit the nail on the head, but I am using the latest Plex server and it does work on MacBook Air MacOS. But that doesn't mean there isn't a bug in it for the NAS & Windows!
