Upgrading from Super To Ultra

Just a quickie really, if i upgrade from one to another do I lose my internet at any time because it looks like a new order on the app. Obviously I am still home working so can't really be without it. Thanks in advance

@Elvis1973 If your going from FTTC to FTTP then yes there would be some downtime, another forum member will be able to advise further.

@Elvis1973 openreach will do all the outside work on first visit. 2nd visit will be ont connection setup. You will lose service for a time, but in my experience it was 20 mins during 2nd visit It can be up to 23.59 on day of cutover fir activation but its usually very quick.

@Elvis1973 well worth doing better more reliable performance remiving copper for fibre. Also prepares you for future faster speeds.

Depending on how the existing copper gets to the property (overhead or ducted), the work might be done in one go.

My FTTC to FTTP was a 1 stage install and took around around 3 hours to complete although the only real downtime was switching the hub from the phone line to the ONT and rebooting it.
