It's definitely not maintenance as it's happened for months (hence why I bought the blink camera as I thought there was something wrong with the Ring doorbell) - I'll check the sky q box settings and see if that helps - thanks for replying

Hi,

I have ring and blink security cameras and both seem to not work after 12pm and before 6am. I've called both providers and they both said they are working but the broadband isn't during these times. It's like the broadband goes into a dormant mode? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

@Moggie+Moo Sky Q boxes go into deep sleep from 2.30am to 5.45am which stops their wifi hotspots. The time does not match with your post but check the boxes are set to Active or None power saving mode in the Settings/set up/Preferences menu on each box rather than the default eco setting

If this has only happened for a few nights it is possible Sky or Openreach are doing overnight maintenance if so that should stop when the work is complete.

@Moggie+Moo A common issue is that the Sky boxes go into deep sleep (low power standby) during the night, which causes them to drop off the mesh network, but this is set between 0245 and 0545. Have you turned eco standby off in the settings on the Sky Q boxes and see if this helps?

The router stays live 24/7, but if your cameras are connecting to any of the Sky Q boxes and there WiFi that could explain the loss of connection.
