Internet cuts out at exactly 22:00 every night for 3 minutes. Been 6 months now...

As the title says, my sky broadband has been cutting out at exactly 22:00 on the dot and comes back at 22:03 every single night for over 6 months. To be honest, I just put up with it since it didn't bother me too much. But after 6 odd months its starting to get a little irratating. There's nothing in my flat it could possibly be. I could have just the router in the room and nothing else and it would still happen. I'v made sure its nothing to do with my pc, tried my pc on other networks at 22:00, tried a wireless connection, wired connection. The only indicator is the "Internet" light on the router going orange. I spent 3 years running a computer repair shop dealing with customers pc and internet problems and i'm completely stumped. The only thing it could be is something with sky. The only time i'v ever tried to contact anyone about it they've said "you're internet seems to be working fine, goodbye" despite me saying the exact times it happens every day, the notion that the problem im calling about happens at a specific time and is not a constant problem seemed to be too difficult to comprehend. Figured i'd have a go on here and hope i don't just get another robot respose.

@mattrandom post your router stats and its associated syslog. What router do you have and what sky bb do you have - fibre fttc fttp.... its customers on this forum not sky but many have a lot of experience so will do our best to help you if we can.

Although I'm speculating, when I hear of broadband disconnects that are as regular as you have described, my mind jumps to a potential REIN (repetitive electrical impulse noise) issue.

This news report gained some traction last year, but every now and again you do hear of household objects e.g. a boiler timer, which knocks out broadband. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-54239180

....even a street lamp has been known to cause REIN.

@Mark39& @Mark-Br had this myself many years ago. It turned out to be two instances of it, one was an old TV 2 doors down from me and a printer a street down from me that caused it. It took 6 months to investigate.

As all the problems happened at night and Openreach had to have people out at that time of night was causing issues for a good few customers, not just on the ISP I was with at the time.

I have been having the same problem for about 1yr but my internet cuts at 2:30 am every day and like yourself I have done everything I can but can't find the reason.

I was hoping coming on here would reveal something I've missed but it seems to be more of a problem than I thought if I get any info I will pass it on to you.

Yours might be the eco ethernet settings on your sky router

Log onto router

Go to ethernet tab along the top

Uncheck eco ethernet

If not that it may be eco settings on a sky q box

By default, Sky Q set-top boxes are set to eco-mode

This means that between 2:30 am and 5:45 am they go into power-saving mode, during this time they stop acting as wifi boosters, and any of your devices connected to the Sky box(es) may drop connection temporarily.

If you haven't already, try putting your Sky Q box into active mode.

Press Home on your Sky Q remote and select Settings, then Setup.
Select Preferences, followed by Standby mode and select active.
