I don't have a puck. I wouldn't call Sky Glass an upgrade. It's different being a streaming aggregation service. It's buggy. Would I go back to Q, not for anything. However we aren't consumers of much live TV and never recorded much on Q. If you are a streamer then it's a good move.

I've just changed from Sky Q to Sky Glass. My reason for changing is that I only have one TV in the property and because the property's rented I could not watch on the TV direct from the main box. The satellite dish had to be installed on the back wall of the property but living room is at front.

The landlord would not allow me to run cables through the property (understandable) so the only way I could watch was on a mini-box, so had to have a multi-room subscription and couldn't watch anything in UHD.

Now, I have Glass I no longer need to pay for multi-room subscription and can watch in UHD (where applicable). At the moment I haven't had any major issues with Glass other than not being able to watch the New Year's Day Bake Off on All 4 due to a technical error.

Anything else I've wanted to watch has been fine. The TV itself is fine and I am paying less for my Sky package with Glass than with Q.

If I had been able to watch Q on my main box I would have kept Q. Glass is basically the best option for my circumstances and I can see it being a success for people in similar situations or where the signal for Q is bad or where dishes aren't allowed.

Don't think of Glass as an upgrade to Q. It's a different offering entirely. If you're happy with Q I would recommend staying with it.

Hi

made the switch just before xmas, and changed back before New Year. The TV is average and if you have a faily good UHD/4K TV likely what you have is better.

we had the same thoughts that it sounds like you had... put new Glass tV in the bedroom, challenage was even the small one is so heavy we would have needed a bigger heavy duty bracket, vs the LCD/sonos beam and Q fixed to the wall.

The pucks randomnly decide to switch on, fail to to coonect to the wifi etc. sync issues and appear to forget you have asked for UHD.

Even woth +150MB broadband other services eg boys gaming started to suffer when two glass devices are streaming.

then there is the UI/UX if you have only been ising on demand through your q box, will be a big improvement... however if you have a

more traditional use of a tV then the experience is terrible.

eg turning the TV on in the morning too many clicks to get to what your want.

so what is the answer? Hopefully Sky decide to allow the pucks to be used with sky Q, boxes. Should be possible and this means you only need your bandwidth to be used for the occasional use. Pucks are stand alone

so no reason why not.

but save yourself loads of time and effort and don't switch.

That said if you do switch, they give very good deals when you switch back (this is the only reason I can see to switching).

But you can't stream Sky content on it so if you are after Sky then obviously you need Glass or Q 😂

Yes you can. NOW TV app. Works perfectly.

Not the same service and not with subtitles

You need to stop desperately trying to stick up for Glass by peddling incorrect information.

You said "you can't stream Sky content".

What does NOW do? It streams Sky content.

Subtitles are available on the Apple TV box.

Yes it's a different service. So is Sky Glass.

Please check your facts more carefully.

Thank you.
