Glass as a second TV?

I'm in the market for Sky Glass as my bedroom TV - might be a perfect replacement for an aging bedroom setup which is a small TV, soundbar and Mini box. Is Glass OK to be a secondary source of Sky? I don't want to replace my main TV that is attached to the Q box, I'd like Glass to replace my Mini box. Will that be possible?

It can still be your seconadary source though. E.g. Sky Glass in your bedroom & then Sky Puck in your lounge or whatever

Could they not switch to Sky Glass (terminating the Sky Q subscription), use the Sky Glass TV in the bedroom and get a puck for the main room?

This is way I intend to go if it's possible. My main lounge TV is a top spec Sony OLED so I wouldn't want to replace that. I plan on putting the the Sky glass TV into the kitchen and using pucks for the rest of the TVs in the household. Do we know if their is a limit on the pucks yet?

That's covered in 'the legal bit' on the Glass website pages:

Existing Sky TV customers moving to Sky Glass:

You can only have one Sky TV subscription at your address, so if you already have Sky Q or Sky+ , you will need to take a new TV subscription and choose a new TV package for Sky Glass. We will bill you for your existing Sky TV subscription until your Sky Glass TV subscription is activated. Billing for your Sky Glass TV subscription will start when you activate your Sky Glass TV. If you have Sky Q, you will need to send back your Sky Q boxes within 60 days of receiving Sky Glass or you may incur a non-returns charge. Any third party subscriptions that you do not pay for through Sky but view on your current Sky platform will not be viewable on Sky Glass. Any recordings you have on Sky Q or Sky+ will not transfer to Sky Glass. Sky Store Buy and Keep purchases will still be accessible via the Sky Store app.

It is right. @SDR Was referring to you keeping your Sky Q mini box in their answer. Which is correct, you cant have Sky Q + Sky Glass

However if you take out Sky Glass you have the option of 'multiroom' for £10 extra a month which means you can then connect 'Pucks' to any TV. So Sky Glass in Bedroom & then Pucks in any other room.

Oh ok, I see what you mean now. So I won't be getting a Glass then, I have to keep my lounge setup as my primary source of Sky because Mini boxes don't do 4K, HDR and Atmos etc.

Thats backwards. Sky missing the mark again. If somebody is willing to pay for both services on a single account why can't they have both? I can have mobile, an iPad and a sim-only contract on a single Vodafone account. Why are Sky not capable of providing multiple services on a single account? People with second homes for example need to have seperate accounts. Its a pain.

You could simply open up another account and have Sky Glass seperately. Just more hassle for the customer who will need to have seperate email addresses and payments.

No it doesnt look like you can.

It works the same way as Sky Q does. You can pay for just the Glass subscription or pay £10 per month for multiroom to place Pucks in other locations. Each puck costs £50 one off

@jamesn123 Yes but why not? There is no technical limitation. If I want to have Sky Q and Sky Glass in a single household and am willing to pay for it then why can't I?

The address is tied to your account so its the same thing. You cannot have Sky Q at your main residence then a seperate Sky Q service in your second home/holiday home on the same account.
