Sky Glass | Motion Sensors

Has anyone had any success with the motion sensors?

I have wake on Motion enabled although it doesn't seem to work.

Also tonight I have had a popup notification saying it looks like I've left the room and advises to pick up the remote to prevent the Glass going into standby. I had walked around the room plenty of times so it's impossible to not notice movement.

Thinking I may have a faulty unit perhaps?

I thought the motion sensor would work when they have released the addon webcam probably I wrong 😂

The TV is surposed to detect motion without the need of the camera

Can confirm it works on mine.

Earlier in the day I said "hello sky, turn off" (getting lazy, ha)

left the room, got ready and headed out

came back home about an hour or so later, walked into my front room and passed the TV, registered the motion and turned itself on.

Haven't done any thorough testing but it worked on the first attempt.

If I read correctly (every chance I didn't!) I thought the motion detection was linked to the auto adjustment brightness thing for movies/sports etc (whatever it's called). So, is motion detection working for people who haven't changed the auto setting and not working for those that have fiddled?

I have tried with auto brightness enabled and disabled, both sadly have the same results.

Mine Arrived today installed it on the wall everything is working including the motion sensor you have to tell it to turn off and then when you walk back in the room it comes back on , if you turn it off with the remote I don't think The motion sensor works

This could be a really interesting find.

Normally turn off mine with the remote and it's not been working. I'm positive last night we said "Hello Sky, switch off". This morning the motion control worked.

@Jon+Reeve I have experienced this scenario today. I switched off last night using voice and when I entered the room this morning it switched on. I then switched off with the remote and have been in and out of the room without it switching on. If this is the case you would think Sky would be aware and inform users and negate so many negative comments.

@Elmore87 there is a fix coming which Sky are rolling out on the back end. Ours is working again this morning, so hopefully it will stay working 😊

Just had my sky glass delivered today. Quite happy so far but yes my motion sensor doesn't appear to be working. Do I have to contact Sky to get this update although it did do an update when I 1st plugged it in so not sure if it was included in this.
