@alan++robert the puck comes with its own remote. Assume you are aware thst the pucks cannot be boughtvwithout the Glass TV.

@Chrisee I don't think I've seen it mentioned anywhere, but I presume that the Puck remote will be 'paired' to the TV to control volume etc like previous Sky remotes?

Sorry @oj01 I dont know.but it makes sense that it would. A lot of this detail will come out shen the units are in people's homes. If something is a deal breaker for anybody and you have not had confirmation from Sky I would hold off ordering.

The installation instructions just say "pull tab to get started" I assume this connects the battery and you then get on screen instructions or it automatically pairs.

It will be a disaster if it does not pair and will control any glass device within range but unlikely as they are trying to sell multiple devices.

There are volume controls on the Puck remote (which looks identical to the Sky Glass TV remote), I suspect it will pair with non Sky Glass TVs for both volume, power and input switching.

We'll only know for sure when more help articles are added to sky.com and/or people get there hands on them.

I can't beleive that anyone would have any doubt about the remotes ability to control volume and power (Puck or Glass remote, surely the same remote).

However, I doubt it will control input on the TV, you'd have to use the TV's remote as you do with Sky Q (unless I've been missing a trick for all this time).

Once paired you can definitly switch TV inputs with Sky Q remotes for both the Sky Q box and minis (at least I can with both my LG TVs)

This will likely only work with Sky Glass TV set, as there is no way for Pucks to know a) how many HDMI inputs your 3rd party TV has and b) which input the Xbox is connected to. Unless of course your TV, Xbox, and Puck can perform the ultimate CEC handshake. (CEC is flaky at best in my experience)

I've never even noticed that button on the Q remote, that said, on ours it brings up the input list but I can't seem to navigate to a different input. Not a big deal for us though.

@TimmyBGood Yes, I've forgotten the voice activation on the Glass TV.

I think if you keep pressing the input button it should cycle through the list of inputs, then after it lands on the input you want just wait 1 or 2 seconds and it should switch to that input. Not the best user experience, but it does work at a push for me.

It seems to depend on if the television manufacturer has set their system to require confirmation before changing input: some switch just by having an item on the list selected.

@Khushba Ahh, I was using (or trying to use) the arrow buttons. I'll try again later, the wifes up now so it would be deadly to try and touch the remote right now.

Don't just pull the white paper tab remove remote back. As pulled mine and it didn't work as part of paper tab was still covering battery terminal
