Can I stream Virgin Media through my Sky Glass TV?

Yes you can @Middletonmark as you can use any broadband provider with Sky Glass.

@Middletonmark You can use any broadband provider.

If by streaming Virgin media you mean watching Virgin Media TV, then you can use any device which has a HDMI, and plug it into your Glass TV, including a VM cable box.

You will not be able to stream from the Virgin TV Go app directly from the Sky Glass software.

I don't see the point in getting Sky Glass if you intend to use Virgin media. Once you cancel your Sky subscription then some of the features will not work. You would be better off just buying a different tv. @Middletonmark

Agree with @Dazzasky

To get the best out of this unit you really need the Sky subscription.

While it would be possible to plug a VM box in to a HDMI port, if that is your ultimate intention you will get more bang for your buck on a TV that runs a different operating system.

If the credit plan on it is the thing thats attracting you to this unit, then other places do offer such plans.

So is it worth just getting the actual TV for its amazing sound etc to use with a diff provider?many thanks

Do you mean using a Virgin Media TV box? If so also yes as it will plug into one of the HDMI ports like any other TV.

No. Much better TVs are available.

The only advantage I see in this approach is that if you decide to leave virgin media you would have a tv that can be activated to receive sky.

So for some could be a good choice! Especially if needing a new tv but in contract with virgin et al. But want sky eventually.
