My sky glass won’t work

it says software error , yet the other pucks in the house are working? Any Ideas??

Unplug the TV for 1 minute, then plug back in while pressing the power button on the side of the TV for 20 seconds, this should do a reset.

PS you have posted this in the Sky Q forum, there is a forum for Sky Glass.

As an early adopter my opinion is that you kind of have to accept that your product doesn't work properly and won't for around a year or two.

I got Sky Q around 3 years in I think

and it still wasn't great,

and still has a few major & minor issues now.

Indeed. I had Q from day 1 and it was riddled with bugs. Would be interesting to hear from an early Q user who has made the early jump to Glass to compare experiences of both launches.

Each have their own bugs, as we know Q is largely bug free (well mostly) and it did take a few months to get ironed out. It was worth it in the end as I had no complaints with Q.

Glass has some issues but should imagine, like Q these will be ironed out over time.

It should be called a public trial because according to reports virtually nothing has been noticed nor fixed in "testing".

For some reason they now have 3 completely different UI's for the 'big TV' on Sky+HD, Sky Q and now Sky Glass plus they have something different on Sky Go.

There is no harmony between these interfaces and the only thing they have in common is that none of them work 100% and some may doubt they ever will.

HD+ does not have the hardware to support the Q interface (I don't think) and too many of the features couldn't work on HD+ anyway. Q will eventually get the Glass interface according to others on here, although I hope they take their time and sort the bugs out first. HD+ of course is getting phased out.

I've had Q for years (and HD+ before that) and haven't any issues with it.

Sky Go is a mobile App with limited functionality and was never going to get the Q interface so can't see it getting the Glass one. I only ever use it on PC and it does exactly what I want it to.

@bemak187 In my experience, Glass has proved far more stable than Q at this juncture.

However I will caveat that with the fact that I'm running Glass hardwired to mesh points from the outset rather than using Wi-Fi which I wasn't with Q, and I am in no doubts that fundamentally this is the reason for the better stability.

I believe many of the connectivity issues in this forum are caused by using Wi-Fi rather than fully hardwired or using ethernet into a quality mesh system.
