WiFi cuts out even though all lights on hub are green.

My wifi repeatedly drops out over and over again only to reconnect a minute or so later. All the lights in the hub are green when this happens and it even happens when devices are right beside the router.

devices connected by Ethernet are not affected by this at all. I have done the sky broadband tests and it tells me everything is fine. We are eating through our mobile data and it's becoming really inconvenient.

the router has been turned off and reset. Devices have been disconnected and re connected and this hasn't solved the problem.

I seem to be having a similar problem. I am in the same room as the router and my phone loses connection quite randomly. My work laptop refuses to connect automatically at all and I have to reset the connection every morning. My home laptop (same brand as my work laptop - HP) doesn't lose connection. The only difference with these devices is their age - my phone is an ancient 2017 Samsung which works perfectly everywhere except at home. My work laptop is probably 3 years old. My home laptop is 18 months old.

My router is 5 years old. Do I need a new one?
