Sky VIP Movie Night

rodders1980 — Sat, 30 Jan 2021 13:35:11 GMT

Idris Elba's just been on an ad talking about a weekly movie night for VIP customers but I can't find any information about it in the app or from Dr. Google.

I think it said the movies get shown on Sky 1 but not sure. Has anyone got any further details on it, what night it's on, what movies are being shown etc. Thanks!

@chris065

You need to either set a recording or tune into Sky One on those times and dates listed as they will not be on Sky One catchup.

Ok still confused. I've just been on sky one hd and at 11pm on Sunday it's showing super bowl so I'm obviously doing something wrong. Is sky one hd and sky one the same?

You are doing nothing wrong as it doesn't look like it is being shown in that timeslot anymore.

It was final score that is supposed to be on at 11 on Sunday. But I can't see it?

I've searched the whole week and can't see it. Who can I challenge that back too?

That is because as I said for some reason it is no longer being shown in tht timeslot and I can't see it being shown on Sky One any other time.

If you want an answer from Sky then you need to email the Viewer Relations team on this email address:

@chris065 @Porters6

Apparently a bit of a boo-boo where no-one noticed that the first Sunday in February traditionally has a certain sporting event scheduled when they were choosing the 'free film' timeslots....

I emailed and had this back:

"Thank for taking the time to contact us by email about the movie 'Final Score'.

Unfortunately, our scheduling changed last night and the NFL Superbowl final was aired instead.

'Final Score' is available On Demand for our Sky Cinema customers. At the moment there are no current plans to repeat on Sky One, but we will at some stage in the future."

I queried that this was a bit rubbish and was told:

"Please be assured your comments have been noted and passed onto the relevant team for their information.

We always welcome customers' comments, and actively encourage viewers to voice their opinions."

Thanks

Annoyingly they have now changed their website and we have all missed it!!

Can’t catch them then? Don’t worry, we’ll show them again at the weekend:

Final Score – Thursday 4 February at 11pm.
Monster Family – Sunday 14 February at 12pm.
Four Kids and IT – Sunday 21 February at 3pm.

To be fair, I suspect this was just lack of internal communication at Sky with whoever arranged the 'free' films not knowing that Sunday wasn't a normal schedule. Bit embarrassing though.
