Bill paid but still asking for payment

So i have a direct debit set up and i knew i wouldnt have the money to pay it on the date set so i paid in advance 3 days early and yet its still asking me for payment what dose this mean will i need to pay it again or what ???

As you have a direct debit set up you should never need to make a payment as you have done as Sky will try to take the DD payment as this is an automatic process each month. What will happen now is a credit will appear on your account for the amount you have overpaid and this will be used to pay your next bill so on that bill no money will be taken from your account. If you want the overpayment returned you will need to contact Sky, the repayment will take 3-5 business days.
