WiFi calling preferred.

Hola.

Trying to tie down if this is a sky sim issue only or a sim / phone model issue.

In have lost the WiFi calling preferred option once switching over to sky mobile from O2.

WiFi calling works, but with no preferred option it still occasionally tries to latch on to my half a bar of nothing I sometimes get. And dropping my call in the process.

Anyone have the preferred menu option ? This would be relevant to Android only.

Note 20 Ultra on A11.

Sky does say that Wifi calling will work on the devices shown here if they are from Sky:

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/wi-fi-calling

But there is no guarantee that it will work on other devices.

WiFi calling does work. But it looks like Sky has not enabled the all important WiFi preferred menu option. Putting another provider SIM in and the menu pops up.

The point of the post was to see if anyone else has it. If so, what device?

Hi @biomulv not ideal but if you put your phone into flight mode then enable WiFi you will force your phone to use WiFi calling.

Yes, aware of that. Not ideal though.

Was just asking if it was me / device specific before going down the immeasurably painful rabbit hole of asking sky to push out

KEY_CARRIER_DEFAULT_WFC_IMS_MODE_INT

Default mode for WFC over IMS on home network:

0: Wi-Fi only

1: prefer mobile network

2: prefer Wi-Fi

Constant Value: "carrier_default_wfc_ims_mode_int

I am not sure if that works as I don't see the WiFi icon as highlighted in my screenshot (below) when I make the call ?

@63johnw - that screenshot was taken before the successful firmware update.

WiFi calling is working now.

But as per there original post, do you have WiFi preferred as an option or on / off only?
