Universal Releasing The Invisible Man, The Hunt And More On Demand This weekend

Universal announced that films already on release in the US and UK will arrive on home platforms such as Apple, Amazon and Sky.
The US statement states movies will cost $19.99 for a 48-hour rental period. Movies included so far are The Invisible Man, The Hunt, Emma. (all starting Friday) and Trolls (on its release day)

Any word when sky will be making an announcement regarding theatrical movie rentals on their store.

Because going out to the cinema may not be possible for a while, we’re bringing the cinema to you, by making a range of movies available in your home through Sky Store, on the same day as the global premieres. This will begin with DreamWorks Animation’s Trolls World Tour on 6 April. This Friday we are also launching Emma, The Invisible Man and The Hunt, which were just released in cinemas.

Good idea but I have read that these films will be £15.99 to rent. I for one wouldnt pay that. You wouldnt pay that at the cinema or to buy the title when released properly.

Yep, I'm not paying 3x the normal rental price, and 2.5x the cost of a cinema ticket for this. £8.99 maybe.

It's not like anybody will be watching it in the cinemas.

@Higgy1991 Unlike Buy & Keep where you can access across your compatible devices and Sky boxes, Sky Store rentals placed online cannot be sent to a Sky box and on the flip side Sky Store rentals placed on the Sky box are not accessible via the Sky Store app. When you place a rental it is only for the device type you place the rental on.
