Hi,

My kids really wanted to watch Aladdin, I purchased my first ever Sky Store Movie. Turned on my trusty Amp, up came sound as Dolby Digital and sat back thinking I'm going to get glorious fully immersive surround sound. I was too be bitterly disappointed.

I couldn't figure out, the Amp was saying the sound is Dolby Digital, yet all sounds were coming from centre channel, would get the very occasional tiny and flat sound from one of the other speakers.

Also, the sound from the centre channel was quite poor, not rich but quite flat and dim.

The sound to me is 50% of the enjoyment, it makes the movie, it fully immerses you into the movie. I would never have wasted my money had I known I would be cheated in this way.

Movies from other channels seem to be ok, given this movie is downloaded and shouldn't be restricted to broadcast rates. Can't figure why Sky would allow such a poor sound to be downloaded.

Is Sky deliberately cheating it's customers?
