Sky took my PIP disability money unlawfully, still won't refund the money!

Hi,

Please can I get some advice as Sky have left me in a very hard position and I want my money back but also want to take this further for their ignorance and discriminatory behaviour towards someone who is vulnerable.

I left Sky TV around November/December. Everything was fine and dandy, they sent the box out for me to send Sky Box back - sorted - all fine until last Monday when they took £115 out of my Personal Indepence Payment. This left me with £20 to live on till saturday, and then since Saturday, £4 to live on.

I have called them twice and both times they are saying they will refund me and they havn't and this money was taken unlawfully and illegally as they claimed it was for not sending the box back, however they have all confirmed this was Sky in the wrong as infact I did send the box back several months before that, therefore being a Sky admin error.

I am extremely vulnerable and feel that this unjustified behaviour from Sky needs to be addressed. I will be contacting them further again today, however I am wondering what are the legalities around this unlawfull behaviour. Thanks

Update - We spoke to the customer and processed the refund 🙂

Yes it was sorted, but leaving a disabled person without money and continually lieng to an ex-customer is wrong. Regardless of wether I got my refund or not, this will be going further.
