Sky Q Remote Compatibility

Does anyone know of an inexpensive DAC that will enable me to connect either my Sky Q box, or my new Samsung TV (which doesn't have a headphone output, only digital audio, unlike my old TV) to my preferred stereo active speaker system that will also work with the volume controls on the Sky Q remote like some sound bars?

Many cheap DACs come with their own IR remote: I'd suggest the challenge you face is to find one which has a matching Q remote 'code', as that seems fairly unlikely.

That was exactly my thoughts, but I was hoping someone had already done the donkey work and found one that works as I describe!
