Swapped from fire stick to sky q .no sky but telly is registering the sky channel.the box has no blue circle. But does have the on/stand By light's on

Sky Q doesn't have a blue circle on the Q unless you're playing something or watching after live pause. It's not there all the time.

What happens when you press the power button on the front of the box?

And what about when you turn the box off at the wall for 30 secs?

@Linkasa when you had Sky Q installed did the engineer not check the box was working before they left or is this a new problem you are getting on an old installation

I have no power going to the Sky box. I didn’t realise it was plugged into an extension cord, but when something else was plugged into the same extension the Sky box died. No idea why. Can anyone shed some light on it for me?

Incidentally, the extension still works and so do the 2 things that were also plugged in

@BazzybuggsCheck that the lead is not loose where it plugs into the Q Box, they can easily work loose if they are not plugged in fully.

Also check the fuse in the 13A mains plug on the lead to the Q Box, I don't know what it is fused at but it may be quite a low rating and a surge blew it.
