Does my own TV licence cover me watching sky go on my own lap top & iphone in work premises

Thanks for getting in touch.

 

For watching Live TV you would need a TV license, however:

 

If you don’t view or record television programmes, or you only view TV programmes online after they’ve been broadcast – through on-demand services then you don’t need to be covered by a TV Licence.

 

If you a currently a Student and the below points are all true then you would not need a TV license:

 

  1. Your out-of-term address is covered by a TV Licence
  2. AND you only use TV receiving equipment that is powered solely by its own internal batteries
  3. AND you have not connected it to an aerial or plugged it into the mains.
