I might be moving home soon and the property that I am moving into does not have a sky dish. Will the engineer move the old dish and box (sky+) from my old house or will he install a new one?
Thanks in advance

Hello there,
The engineer will install a new dish at your new property. You should take the Sky+ box to your new house.
The old dish will stay at the old address for the next tenants/owners to use.
Hope this helps.

May or may not be useful to you (depends on how "handy" you are) but installing a dish is a piece of ####! Don't pay ££££. Buy a sat meter for approx £20, look at where other neighbours other dishes are pointed, or read up on the Internet on the angle and direction required, and it will take you 2 minutes to align it.

Hello there.
Moving home visit is now free of charge with Sky. So it will be easier, safer and cheaper to have a prfoessional engineer do the job for you.
Hope this helps.

I have just moved into a new place with 2 disused sky dishes affixed to the building. Any idea how I get rid of these?!

Call Sky or get a local company to do it. You will probably be charged not matter who you go with but I would try Sky first, their standard call out fee is £65.

Hi VEJ,
As this is your first post I would like to welcome you to the forum ![]()
If the dishes are not going to be used by your home move visit, you would need to contact a local installer to remove these dishes. During your home move visit, we will only connect your boxes up to one of the Sky dishes and will replace that if required.
I hope this helps.
Thanks,
