Store and Share Closure

With Store & Share closing, does that mean you will no longer be offering a print service? How do I download my photos back to my computer. Ive been all round the site and I cannot find how to do it.

According to this thread you just click on each file and save them back down again. The store and share system is only a backup system and should never be used as primary storage. I use picasa with my gmail space and find it simple and reliable.

Used to work for Sky and BT ADSL tech support but please don't hate me for it :smileywink:

Hi rolaren, while store & share will be closing and you should download any photos or other files we will still be operating the Sky Photos service.

I got the email saying the service was closing, but I can't sign in, it says the service is having problems, but I can't remember even signing up for it, and now can't even check if I have used it at some time! Help me! Tell me if I definitely if I have an account with Store and share?

The only way you are going to find out if you have used Store and Share and have an account is to contact Sky:

I know I have an account but haven't been able to get into it for months. I keep getting the error message that the site is busy and to try later, been doing that. So now instead of being busy it will just be closed!!

I hope I can get into the store and share account before it closes just so I can be sure there is nothing there I need, I back most things up several places but had a PC crash a while ago and have been trying to check this backup site since.

Every time I try and access Store and Share to remove my photos I am told...

I have been trying since the first email was sent out warning us it was going to close. 

How can I download my photos to my computer if I can't get to them?

I am running out of time, and patience!

I have been trying for over 8 weeks to retrieve my photos. With, I am sorry to say, very poor assistance from your support. I have uploaded over 5,000 family photos to your site and have paid you SKY to keep them safe.  They were not all backed using backup manager, as I have uploaded them from many locations and devices.  I REALLY need to down load these images and, despite my numerous requests, all I get told is that I should downlaod backup manager to use that,  I have an XP pro pc and followed your instruction 8 weeks ago and nothing happened.  It asked if I wanted to restiore a backup however as I have just downloaded it I have not got a a backup. In 8 weeks the ONLY resonse I have received from your support is to ask me if I am sure I am not using windows 7 as it doesn't work on windows 7!

I am sending a copy of this email and all previous correspondence to Ofcom and also to the Office of Fair Trading. Please contact me by return to confirm how I can download my photos using the dowload manager before the close of play tomorrow.

I am really sorry to see that you are still having issues with Store and Share. 

 

Can you please contact the Store & Share team by e-mail to support@skystoreandshare.com providing them with your Sky ID & Username. They will also need to know what account you have i.e starter, standard or premium.

 

I understand how frustrated you must be however we are unable to resolve your issue via the forum.
